Polyanna Vrelianaki was born in Athens, Greece, in 1963.

She was introduced to art from an early age, which eventually led her to study graphic design.

Later on, she expanded her horizons with photography and engraving, while at the same time creating original sketches, paintings and drawings using acrylics or ink. But, eventually, since 2015, Ceramics won her over.

While studying and learning the finer details of ceramic making, she built a gas kiln with her husband and every week she produces new forms with handpainted original artwork, using various technics, like Raku-firing.

This has allowed her to experiment constantly, expanding her knowledge and techniques.

Her ceramics are either unique everyday objects or pieces of ornamental art with original shapes.

Apart from her studies and involvement with various forms of art, her interest in music, cinema and theater has provided her with a vast variety of influences that have successfully been infused with her own tasteful personal touch to produce unique art.

Since 2022 she is member of Chambre des Arts Plastiques de Grece-EETE

Η Πολυάννα Βρελιανάκη γεννήθηκε το 1963 στην Αθήνα. Από μικρή ηλικία η Τέχνη της κέντρισε το ενδιαφέρον και οδηγήθηκε μεταλυκειακά να κάνει σπουδές στη Γραφιστική. Ζωγραφίζει και σχεδιάζει με ακρυλικά και μελάνια, ενώ κάποιες ιδέες καταλήγουν σε χαρακτικά έργα. Στα μέσα των 90’ς, η φωτογραφία πήρε μια σημαντική θέση στην καθημερινότητα της. Το 2015, ξεκινάει ένα άλλο μεγάλο κεφάλαιο, η κεραμική, με σπουδές, σεμινάρια από σημαντικούς δασκάλους στη χώρα μας. Από την μέρα που αποκτά τον πρώτο της φούρνο γκαζιού και οργανώνει το εργαστήριο της με τη προσθήκη ηλεκτρικού καμινιού, της δίνεται η δυνατότητα να πειραματιστεί πάνω στη φόρμα και το χρώμα, όσο και με διάφορες τεχνικές ψησίματος. Τα αντικείμενα της, είτε είναι καθημερινής χρήσης, είτε γλυπτικές φόρμες με πρωτότυπα σχήματα, είναι πάντα διαφορετικά το ένα από το άλλο.

Το 2022 έγινε μέλος του Επιμελητήριου Εικαστικών Τεχνών Ελλάδας – ΕΕΤΕ
